Hi, haven't been here in a while.  Does anyone else take this for fatique and memory?  Aricpt.  I have taken provigil and hasn't worked at all on fatigue.  Started taking this a week ago and am cleaning house like a fast horse racer!  Not helping with memory but maybe will given time.  I have not had this much energy in a long time.  Fell almost like the old me, except can't remember anything, lol.

Was just wondering if anyone else had found this to be true.

didn't know that aricept was for fatigue... I take it right before I go to bed lol

As for memory... I think it is a very nice, very expensive sugar pill, in my opinion... I have another month left of it then I think I am going to stop taking it... going to talk to my neuro about it today.

Reading the research on aricept, it really isnt' proven to do anything really. It does work for some though. And studies shoe that it works to delay demetia by 2 years on average for those with alzheimers (sp?).

Linda: I take provigil for fatigue, but it doesn't last all day, only about 1/2 day or not very well during my physical therapy days. Have you tried anything else? I go back to my neurologist on the 21st and want to ask for something else, but not sure what. There isn't any indication that aricept is for fatigue, but if you are on a med that the MD wasn't aware of, it could cause an interaction which may increase HR & BP with the feeling of increased energy. Even over the counter meds (cold meds, allergy meds, etc) can have an effect that would alter its cause. If aricept is right for you and has the advantage of giving you energy, than you hit on pay dirt. Let me know if you are aware of any other drugs that work for fatigue. Thanks.

The aricept was rx for memory not fatigue, but did work for fatigue for 2 weeks then stopped. Never worked for the memory    Linda
