Hi everyone,

I have a question for ya'll. Has anybody ever had this pain? When I am walking most of the time I get a pretty severe pain in my foot like I have a smooth rock in my shoe. It's not a sharp pain but it is starting to concern me because it has been bothering me for a couple of weeks and now seems to be moving up into my ankle. It only happens when I'm wearing my shoes and only on the left side. I've checked my shoe and there are no bumps or anything in it. I thank you in advance for any advice.

Sounds like you might have injured the heel of your left foot? Sometime walking barefoot doesn't hurt as much because the floor is more "forgiving" -- softer, bouncier, than a hard shoe.

I have also had pain in the plantar area of my foot. It feels like I stepped hard on a rock and it left a bruise. I never have a bruise just the sore pain.

I don't hink I described the pain right. It almost feels like somethingis stuck to the bottom of my shoe and pushes into my foot with every step. It's not real bad all the time. Mostly, it's just annoying, but sometimes it gets very painful. I have to sit down when this happens. It doesn't really feel like a bruise. I'm not sure how to describe it.

Hey Sheila

Hummm...could it be a spur?? I've known several people who've had them and it's (to my understanding!) like a bone growth...spur...on u'r foot. I'm told it can be very painful and is exaggerated when u'r wearing shoes. Yes, the pain will radiate up u'r leg. U may want to bring this up to u'r gp and possibly have an x-ray done. I'm sure it's very painful to u, no matter what the cause. I hope this can be resolved for u soon.

Hi Mesea,

 

   Foot pain is no fun at all!  I had plantar fascitis a couple of years ago and waited far too long to get it checked out, took forever to recover from it.  Tarsal tunnel syndrome is another possibility for you, but regardless get it checked out with your gp or podiatrist.  Hope you feel better soon, let us know!

Hi Mesea,

I can relate to your foot problem. I have had really sore feet on and off for over 12 months. It feels like I am standing on a stone when I stand up or walk. I also have tingling in both feet as well as both legs. Sometimes they hurt so much I can't put my weight on them and have to sit down. My legs and feet feel stiff and sore every morning, I sort of fall out of bed. Sometimes they have a burning feeling and also occasionally short sharp stabbing pain in either foot. I don't know what your GP will make of your problem
I really know what you are describing, it is really unpleasant.
I hope you get relief from somewhere, it can really mess up your day. I walk around at home bare foot and I still feel like I am stepping on something. I try and give them a massage before I get up and this sometimes helps.

Around the time when I was experiencing the 1st symptoms of ms I had a pain in the bottom of my foot that felt like i was standing on a hard ball. I even took off my shoe to see if there was swelling on my foot, there wasn't. it only lasted about an hour or so but it sure did hurt. I didn't think anything of it untill now, because at that time i was having alot of strange things happening.

That's it tiajoy!!! Thanks now I know how to describe it to my doc. I didn't think my foot was swollen so much as I thought something was wrong with the sole of my shoe.
