During chat a few weeks ago some members encouraged me to see my GP because I might have IBS. I saw the GP today and he doubts that I have IBS. He is thinking Crone's or UC. UGGG!!!

I made an appointment with a GI doc for the 12th of Dec. GP said that I will probably need a colonoscopy.

I am so tired of seeing different docs!! I have never been to so many docs in my life!! Up until a year ago I was relatively healthy. I normally don't go to the doctor. I usually try to handle things on my own. It's like I get insurance and my body falls apart!! Sorry to vent, all this junk is making me feel a little moody and down.

Question... Can Crone's or UC cause balance problems, falling, pins and needles and the other stuff I had going on? Can someone have MS and Crone's or UC? I mean, that would be my luck! My family has Crone's, Lupus, and MS in it also Glucoma.

I'm sorry! I'm usually not so down but I'm just really bummed now. I'm also really looking forward to a probe up my booty!! nono

I don't think Chrones disease or UC can cause balance problems, falling, etc...but indeed one can have MS and a whole HOST of other disorders. For that matter, there's some indication that chrones disease might be an autoimmune disorder too, and often folks with one autoimmune disorder (like MS) can have another one as well.

Colonoscopys sound worse than they are...the preparation for it (drinking nasty stuff, spending the day on the toilet) is more unpleasant than the actual procedure itself, where they relax you dramatically, do their thing, and you're done, often before you even know it. I hope it goes well for you.

    I'm glad you got it checked out, and my best wishes that you find out soon what is causing the problem.  Vent all you need too, and I'm sorry you are down right now.  Maybe you can treat yourself to something you enjoy to take your mind off it for a bit.

I'm sorry u'r so down right now. As Uppity said, the colon test isn't that bad. I've had two and the worst part is the stuff u have to drink. Once u'r asleep u don't know anything until u'r done and waking up. My worst memory of the who affair is waking up to my husband washing my face with a hospital wash cloth and it had a brown stain on it. In my foggy mind all i could figure out was that it was poo poo and it wasn't mine!! (as if it being mine woulda made it ok!) I kept telling him to stop and he wouldn't...but finally i got out what i was saying and he stopped even tho it wasn't what i thought! The nurses all got offended and sent me on my way very soon after that! My husband still offers me a 'poo poo rag' from time to time just for HIS kicks.

Try to feel better and not worry too much about this. The best part is that they're looking at it closely and u'll have answers soon.

It took me a couple of years of intense diagnostics until i got the official word - MS. Some of your symptons tell of it. Ask many knowledgeable ppl to i.d. it for you. Then you will have a reason to stare into space.
