This is no big deal but it kinda hurt my feelings. Today my sister was driving me to work. We were stopped at a redlight and I said there's 4 lights again. Usually we just start joking about having to wait for all 4 to turn green. This morning my sister said u need to get that out of ur mind. Before the dr. told u that u had ms for sure u never complained about this stuff. I felt like she was saying that my symptoms were all in my head. They were there before but I just thought my old head injury was causing them so I didn't say anything. I didn't mean to be complaining. I only brought it up to make a joke about it. If u laugh about things they don't seem so bad. I thought she understood. I guess I was wrong. Maybe ya'll are the only ones I can talk to about all this stuff. Well,
I'm at work and needtp do sme. Just wanted to get this off my chest.

Oooo my friend, i'm sorry. It just stinks when someone..who u feel understands and accepts u'r situation...seems to have bailed on u. I truely don't believe they can fully understand even tho they try very hard. It's just something u have to experience to know about. Don't give up on her tho. I know u'r very close to her and this really hurts, but talk to her and explain as u have here. I bet it'll make a difference. Even still tho, u do have us and we do understand. Yes, with a confirmed dx u can finally assign a reason to all the quarky things that have been or are going on, but as many of us here do, u don't understand if u don't know why it's happening...so u make sense of it the best u can by assuming it's this or that..and u accept it as part of life. That's what u did and now that u finally have an answer u can accept it. Part of acceptance is letting it out...letting it be known. Making jokes is a great way to do that..and it eases the tension. Keep letting it out...here and elsewhere as well. It's up to them to accept it now and just because u don't talk about it doesn't mean it's not there. Hang on friend and don't let this get to u. We're all here for u.

Awww Sheila I'm sorry.  Maybe you could have a talk with your sister?  I doubt her words were meant to hurt you, she might just be having a rough time dealing with your diagnosis because she cares about you.  Don't stop with your jokes and laughing about it if it helps.  We'll always be here for you if you need us.
