Hi All,
Some of you now I spent a week in the hospital. I was admitted for abdominal pain and nausea. This is an ongoing thing due to the slow gut. It is all MS related. Don't take constipation for granted, get it treated. If you are having a really awful time with it be sure to mention it to your docs. If you have MS you will have constipation.
The gi doc wanted to do a trial of a gastric pacer to see if it would help me but my insurance will not approve it. Something about it being a humanitarian device. The docs office is trying to appeal etc..but who knows if/when it will be approved. And, we don't know if it will help. For now I am still on zofran or phenergan and a duragesic patch which I have yet to use. There is still the possibility I will have to have my colon removed.
I had a defogram while I was in the hospital and I do have a large rectocele that will probably have to be repaired, I'll see my gyn next week. (It's always something!)
I'm quite weak still but in time that should even out.
Hi to all the newbies! welcome!
P.S./ Lifewithms had her baclofen pump inplanted on wed. and she is doing well, she has a bad spinal headache but she is amazed at how much difference she feels in her legs and hands. She will be in the hospital 1 or 2 more days. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
