Hi everyone,

I walked for MS today.  It was really excellent.  All went well until my 84 year old mother-in-law fell while dancing and ended up needing stitches.  Bless her heart.  She is a party animal.  My team raised over 3,300 dollars for MS.  I have included a website with photos.....lots of photos.  I hope they are not too boring.  I am the one in red high top sneakers.  I carried my healing well family in my heart. Enjoy.

You are AWESOME! Thank you for walking for all of us. When I saw all of our names on your shirt….all I can say is wow.  Those are great pictures, I’m so glad you shared them!

Oh Gretchen!  My eyes filled up with tears seeing my name on the board and your back!  There aren't enough words to say THANK YOU!  I agree with Sunny, you are AWESOME!

Doing this especially when we all know you aren't feeling the best.  That was so cool!  You rock, lady!  Love the sneaks!

WOW CROTCHEN!!!

U've done great!! Raised a TON of money for MS and completed the walk AND dedicated it to u'r MS friends!! How cool...u even put everyone's names on u'r t-shirt. I see we're all very special to u...even those who reside in the arm pit of u'r heart! How dear we must be to u! Thanks friend...for the walk and hard work, for the pics (i know the site was challenging for U!) and for the special love u've shown us all...even those who dwell in the pits! :)

Way to go! Where is legoland in CA?  Your walk was much fancier than mine!  I love the wall of honor idea, i must pass that on to our local chapter.  Thanks for thinking of all us msers!

 

 

 Can you tell me how to post pictures?  I wanted to post some of my family for the ms walk but I tried copying and pasting and it wouldn't show the image.....

Yeah a fellow walker! Over $3,000!!!! Oh your poor mother in law, hope she is doing okay.  84 and gettign her groove on though, you have to love that!!! LOL 

I participcated in the MS Walk here in Sacramento last Sunday.  They had a 5k and 10k but I did the 5k. It was a struggle but with my hubby (Mill) at my side I made it.  It was really encouraging to see so many others.   I raised $600 as an individual participant.  Next year I really want to organize a team effort.  I am so looking forward to it.  Doing something, being active in trying to find a cure makes me feel less helpless and hopeless.  I want to make no cure for MS a distant memory!

You ROCK! I am beaming with PRIDE! I am so excited I was there with you!! Your Mother-In-Law is amazing! Those pics are so cool and I really love that you walked for ALL of us, even after your most recent flare! Rest up now! I will walk for you in chicago next week!

Hi guys,

Thanks for the posts.  It was my pleasure to walk with you in my heart and on my shirt.  You all have given so much to me and I really appreciate it. 

Michelle, Legoland is in Carlsbad which is about a half hour north of San Diego.  It is a cute little them park for younger children.  As for the pictures, I can't help you there.  I am horrible on a computer and my husband did it all for me.  Sorry! 

ButterflyDoodle, I agree with you.  It makes me feel less helpless and really good to help others even when we need that same help too.  Giving back is a huge therapy for me.

   You are awesome!!!  Great job and thanks so much for helping to make a difference!! I really enjoyed the pictures, no not boring at all!!  Mike was sooo excited to see his name on your bandana, he says thank you!!I'm especially fond of the armpit picture, some hidden meaning there I'm sure tongue

Well done Gretchen!  I'm glad you enjoyed it. You inspired me to raise more for next year's walk and get a team together, looked like a good time.  :-)

Way to go Gretchen. I tried this year and failed miserably. Unfortuately, I think I had a flair because 2 days before the event in my city, I could barely walk. But I was determined, and since I had no sponsers, I just wanted to do it. about a half mile, I couldn't make anything work. Pre 2006 I could have run the whole thing in pretty good time, now I was on the curb. I grabbed my cane out of my backpack, and hobbled back to the car.

I knew I could make the walk, weeks earlier, just bad timing in the old head. One of the MS cooridinators came up and told me that they expect me
to be a leader next year. I intend to do just that.

hi gretchen i have never spoken to you before i am in the uk and have had m.s for around 10 years it is inspiring to know that people in the u.s.a are fighting m.s as we are thank you hobbler
