Saturday p.m.

 

Hello everyone:

 

We have discussed this before...

 

It is a very nice late spring day here in Michigan...

 

My wife had  a seies of errands to run this morning, all of which I would have loved to gone with her in her journey....

 

We have a surprise 25th anneversary party we are invitedb to this evening for some very close friends...

 

But I sit here so blankin' tired....lousy MS fatigure.

 

LOUSY MS FATIGUE!!!! 

 

Well, will go lay down so hopefully will be up to going to party this evening.

 

Everyone can sympathize, right?

Oh John,

I am so sorry!  You are right, fatigue trumps them all.  It is such a hard one to treat and manage.  And no one can see it or imagine how bad it is unless they have it too.  Hang in there.

John,

I am new to this board, but can I relate. My ex would take a nap every Saturday and Sunday, he said it wasn't intentional he watched tv and it just happened. It used to make me soooo mad, because no matter how tired I was, I have had the responsibility of the two girls.

I can't even explain to my doctors, I have said so many times that I am very tired of being tired. I don't always sleep well because I have fibro too and wake up because of pain all night, but even it I take baclofen or ambien and do sleep well, I am still always so da-- tired.

I hope you get to rest and try to enjoy the party and company tonight.

Hi John,

 

   It's hard dealing with fatigue.  We always graciously appreciate the invitations to things, but rarely do we ever say we'll definately be there.  You never really know how bad or when that awful fatigue is gonna kick in.  I hope you feel up to going and if you do have a great time!

Any time I receive an invitation I explain "Right now I'd say yes, I'd love to do that, but when the actual time and date comes I'll have to wait and see. I continue to plan a very busy life for myself and then decide how I feel when the time comes. If an event is going to go late in the evening I have to decline because I turn into a pumpkin around 9:30. Makes me feel like an old lady. This wasn't the life I imagined for myself at 55! The doctor gave me amatadine with the caveat "It doesn't normally work for most people." I guess I have to try it before they move on to provigil.

Sunday a.m.

 

Very good morning, everyone

 

Well....I did take it easy yesterday....and we went to party...and had a very nice time.

 

And doesn't everyone agree....no one can understand the depth of our fatigue unless you are a MS patient?

 

But....in the grand scheme of things...if the MS fatigue is my only problem...I really have no problems....

Good resting John!! I am having such a time with increased fatigue and weakness after this last big surgery. My head wants to go and do but my body says "NO WAY"!

Hi John,

Glad you got to the party. Went to see Cabaret put on by our local Theatre group on Saturday night and had to have a power snooze before hand, but was glad that I did and glad that I went as it lifted my spirits to get out. Fatigue is one of the not so obvious symptoms that one has to feel to realize how deblilitating it can be. You have such a positive outlook on life that it makes me smile...thank you for that. Dale

Hey John

Sorry to be jumping in here so late, but wanted to say i'm glad u made it to the party and enjoyed u'rself! Yes, i agree as well, u simply can't understand this fatigue unless u've experienced it. There is no way to explain an invisible lead weight around ur entire body..that no matter the amt of rest u get, sometimes just will not relent. Doing nothing is exhausting...just existing and being is tiring at that time. Thank goodness it lifts and u live u'r life and move forward...and conquer at least for awhile.

Days late I'm here looking in on the boards for fatigue tips. I am so darned tired I could collapse, but the anxiety keeps that from happening! I am just here to gripe about being tired. Sometimes that makes it feel less overwhelming. My husband works on air conditioners so he is in attics that are 100 degrees all day. It seems irrational to tell him that I am tired from NOTHING or maybe from taking a shower and getting dressed...lol I guess it's really good to know that I can come here and gripe and you all get it more than anyone else ever could. Thanks for listening to my rant! Hopefully tomorrow will be better...goodnight all...
