Why does it matter whether it is now considered "cp"? Actually, it's much more likely that it's secondary-progressive, not "chronic-progressive". Those are different, and the latter is much more serious.
I've been labeled "secondary-progressive" for years now...at least a dozen, maybe longer. Hasn't affected my life much..I'm still living in my own home, I do use a wheelchair full time, I have an elevator to the basement where I do laundry, and a ramp to the front door..
but otherwise lead a reasonably normal life. Just different.
