1/2 way there

I found out the other day that my elevated liver enzymes checked out ok after a sonagram.Nothing abnormal with the liver. I am working on getting another home health nursing service for my steroid infusions. They are coming out on friday I think to evluate me. They also said I should get therapy in home to but I dont know about that..They said if I went out for therapy and stayed in for infusions that would be a red flag...I am still frustrated with the whole thing..One policy is medicare the secondary is a regular highmark policy.....And I do not have to be homebound for that one..Long as they bill right I should be ok although if I have to go out for them my brother will take me.I still havent decided as to whether I should switch dr.s I have an ms support group thursday most of them go to him I will see how the staff has treated them..Plus I got my state represenative involved..The first nursing service was to come every three months for three days which they did but they always came back 2 months later to take my blood pressure......And medicare paid for that but that wasnt what was ordered....So I should have an answer hopefully by next week.thanks for listening to me ramble.....barb....

What was the reason for your enzymes in your liver to be high. I ask this, because when all of this started for me 2.5 years ago, I too, had a high enzyme count in my liver - that did go away until after I took some antibiotics, but it was never resolved as to why.

I have brought this back up for discussion with the neurologist, and family doctor, plus the fact that I lost so much weight in the beginning, had blood sugar problems, rashes, etc. Not that I do not beleive my neurologist that I have MS, but it all started in the way described above. The neurologist even said to me that he did not think I had MS, until the L'hermitte sign showed up....and f course the lesions on my spine and back of brain.

I asked him to run some tests for Lyme, well, that just did not go over well, and looked at me like I was completely nuts....

And yes, I have been to the Lyme Disease threads, which leads me to think that addition investigation is in order - I mean, whats the harm?

The liver enzemes were (are) from the meds, Avonex myscoline and i was on cresstor they stopped that.Like I said everything checked out ok....I was picked up by the other nurses I am going to get my steroids and PT and OT at home and they are checking into me getting a scooter too..We will see about that.I still have it in the back of my mind I can still do things wrong-- wrong. So I am gonna swallow my pride and do what they tell me.....Amazing how one bunch of nurses will do what ever they can and the other bunch did nothing to help me....After a year and a half they did nothing....I think I am with the right ppl now...And I do get blood tests every 6 months....barb.
