Hi,
I am from the Lupus board as that is what I am being treated for, even though I was technically undiagnosed from the lab work. Anyway, after year of meds I was feeling pretty good and my numbers seemed to be much better, so I went off the prednisone about 3 months ago and all was fine. I did this under the direction of my doc of course.
Now..I am experiencing the following new symptoms:
Shooting pains in my breast.. not always the same one. Doesn't hurt per se, but like an electrical shock.
Numbness in my hands and feet.. tingling.. not completely numb.
Slurring.. not all the time but once in awhile. I give presentations regularly and it is causing me a bit of distress right now.
Muscle spasms in my hands. More like "twitching" that lasts for several hours if not a day.
My lupus diagnosis began with muscle weakness in my arms, a drag to my right foot when walking, loss of balance, etc.
I have completely lost the swelling and it has not come back even off the Pred. Since you are all familiar with MS, what do you make of what I just shared here. I am going to talk to my Rheumy when I see him of course but should I make a special appt? I don't see him until October since I was doing so well at my last appt.
