Hi guys, as you know I have had a full MRI-head and entire spine, it was clear.What other test aside from a lumbar puncture should I get to rule in or out MS?

What has the neurologist said?  Does he supect MS?  I would hesitate to do a lumbar puncture to rule out MS unless your doctor asks for it.  It is an invasive test and not a fun one at all.  It does have some risk to it.

My neuro isnt great, I will prob go see another one. He said that if it "makes me feel better", I could do a LP and that it is up to me. He said though, if the LP came back inflammed he would still not be able to treat me since my MRI's were clear.

I def. dont want to do a LP. Are there other tests to rule out or in MS or should I just sit and wait and see if anything else develops.

Is it likely for an array of symptoms (all I have mentioned aside from twitching) to just come on in a 2 wk span? Its like I woke up one day and there was pain that just jumped all over my body.

I dont know if this would be helpful but I know that they used to dx MS with the hot bath method. Are the symptoms worse after a hot bath. I know years ago when I was first dxed with MS (my walking is really bad) after a hot bath I could not walk & had to go down the stairs to the bedroom on my bottom. My feeling is that u do not sound like you have MS but just need to know that. But heck this is one varied disease & it took the drs 70 yrs before they dxed my mother & only dxed me when I moved to secondary progressive MS. Hope you get some answers. All the best.

I also agree with Gretchen in that I would not lightly undertake a LP esp cos your dr says it will not guarantee a DX. :-)
