HELLO, Iam a new member and not sure this is the place for me to be but if not maybe you can direct me to the right forum. My daughter was dx with MS several years ago. she is my only daughter and I love her very much, but i have a lot of trouble with our relationship. We will be together visit and talk for weeks sometimes and all seems fine. Then she will call really upset with me telling me things that i have done or said that have not happened. It is heart breaking she called the other day and said she had no mother that when she needed me I told her that I didn't love her that I only loved her son who is 5 and he is great fun when things are fine she will call and say Andy wants to see you I take him lots of places and spend a lot of time loving him.
Sat I called to see if I could take him to HD to the kids building class I take him every month she said no they would take him and she named all the usal places I take him books a million, the library Lowe's building class and Awanna for kids at my church and said they would be taking him now.
I tell her i love her and ask her to go with us but she always says she has too much to do. 2 years ago she wouldn't let us see him at all for almost a year but he put up such a fuss that things have been better but I don't have a clue what has happened this time. I always ask before I plan anything and they always say yes she says she is happy if he is. She won'tanswer my calls and this morning her husband hung up on me I asked him if she was all right and he said yes i ask if he knew why she was angry at me he said she has MS and hung up
My husband has CML and is often unreasonable between the 2 of them it would probably be better for me if I was mute and hard of hearing So I do need help someone to talk to do other MS patients act this way?
thanks for reading my long post

Hi there,
Sounds like you are having a really hard time. Sorry, its nothing I recognise. I know there are behaviour
al changes & I am definitely more irritable when tired but that is all. Hang in there & perhaps things will get better

Hey MISSATWOOD
Welcome to the board. I too must say i've not heard of this with ms. There are, of course, changes in personality with ms, but that is more due to the effects of accepting the changes ms brings. This sounds like more of an emotional or mental disorder. Have u posted in Bipolar? I'm far from knowing what the best route is for u here, but i wonder if that wouldn't be a good place to post. Best wishes friend.
