My friend, who has MS and is confined to a wheelchair, has started having fainting spells. She is currently having alot of tests done to diagnose why it is happening.

I'm just wondering if this is something that does happen to people with MS and if anyone can give me any insight and information? Is it something that can occur as a sign of worsening symptoms?

Hi, My name is Chuck and although I don't have an answer for you, I will tell you that sometimes I get feeling light-headed where I almost pass out. Matter of fact, it happened while I was showering about a week ago but I was able to recognize what was happening and pulled out of it. I do hope that someone can give you an answer. There is something called neurocardiogenic syncope. It is a conditon of positional heart irregularity. It can happen with MS but it is fairly rare. It is completely possible that your friend's fainting is from another condition. Unfortunately, having MS does not keep us from having other health issues. I hope your friend gets this taken care of and is feeling better very soon.
