MS Drs on Long Island

Can anyone recommend a good doctor? weve gotten one opinion so far, and i feel that we must keep going before we make a definate decision.

May I suggest asking NY state MS Society for a referral?

I was DX'ed in 1987 by a neurosurgeon in my area....Detroit MI....who reffered me to a neuro who I have been beyond happy with.

You could also get a list of doctors in your part of the state and check their names with the NYS Medical Board. From what I've been told these are all the records of complaints filed against any doctor that practices in the state and they are public record.

My recomendation for a MS specialist on Long Island would be Dr. Lauren Krupp. She is located in Setauket and is affiliated with StonyBrook Hopital.

They were very thorough, my first appointment was over 2 hours long. On Friday I was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis.

If you do see her, I would be interested in what you thought of her and her team.
