Even without a diagnosis yet, I have found that no matter what is going on healthwise, it is important and helpful to keep a journal or log of your symptoms. I update each night before going to bed even if I have had a good day I make sure to note that as well.
This was really helpful to me in having it to give to my gp the other week! I find I can give a better description of pain, etc when I note it down immediately.
