I totally agree with Gretchen on this. I got diagnosed with MS in January, started the copaxone in February, and have been doing good with it. All the other MS treatments are interferons that not only cause flu-like symptoms, but can cause depression as well. I do have some injection-site reactions (like itching and mild-swelling) but I would choose that over flu-like stuff. The only downside is Copaxone is a daily shot, where others are once or twice a week. But hopefully this treatment continues to work as it has been. I've only been on copaxone 5 months, so only time will tell. But Gretchen's comment makes me feel even more optimistic.
Another thing I feel works wonders is the B-12 injections. They really have boosted my energy level way up. I absolutely love it. Feeling better than I have in a long time.
