gagging when certain spots are touched

I have recently been gagging when my lower throat is touched (such as trying to wear a turtleneck) or when right above my navel is touched (such as wearing pants that might sit high or have a thick closure). No food or liquid is involved with this gagging. I have MS and know about the swallowing issue but this seems a little odd. Has any one else had this experience? It is really effecting how I dress!
