new here, and could use some calmness.

I don't know if I have MS, or something going on with the Vagus nerve, or a nerve. What I do know is this all started back in 05'. It always comes and goes. And with each time my "whatever" happens, I seem to get new symptoms, and problems, and it becomes more aggressive. When this first happened I had tingling in my arms and face, and head. Felt like I had critters crawling in my hair, and it feels like pins and needless in my arms. My hairs on my arms will stand straigt up..back then they did an MRI, and I overheard the doctors talking about lesions, but nobody ever said anything. No follow up, nothing. I ended up having shoulder surgery to repair ripped tedons on the rotator cuff. A year or so went by, and then another "episode". I felt numb, tingly, hairs standing up..Pain, stabbing pain, in certain areas, followed by dizziness, and headache. Went to three different hospitals in one night, because I could have swore I was having a stroke. No stroke, nothing showed up. Even had lyme disease testing then. Between then and now, (long story short), I have devolped migraines, anxiety, IBS, Acid Reflux, and have had every darn test under the sun, it seems. I have been in the grocery store, and had a gallon of milk in my hand and it dropped, and I didn't even know it. Here lately I have seen a GI, Cardiologist, and have been to my family doctor almost every other week it seems. She is trying to do whatever she can to help. I on the other hand feel like I am going crazy. All my tests always come back negative. They all want to throw volume, xanax and whatever else they can to make me think it's all anxiety.. I'm sorry but I feel as something is happening inside, and it really feels like nerves...I hate it the worse when I'm driving, and I feel lightheaded and dizzy,  and get the prickling feeling, and then get heart palpitations. Whatever it is it feels like something sets off a stimulation, because I will have to go pee, and it will be like no warning..today my whole body feels like it's asleep. I'm so tired of this. When I have good days, though, I am so relieved and feel like a new person. Then an episode comes on, and it's all over again. I am so frustrated because everyone thinks I am making this up, when I try and describe it..I found this forum by looking on the acid reflux's posts. Then I saw the vagus nerve, could also do stuff..Now I stumbled across the MS post's. Just trying to get this all figured out and it helps to read other people feel the same I do..I see a neurologist next thursday, and I pray to god, I finally get an answer..good or bad..I need to know what's going on. Thanks for replying, I know it's hard for everyone to answer. I just know that when your feeling awful, you always want someone to answer, ya know? Sometimes it can be just a few minutes or up to two days. Some people keep telling me it seems more like a pinched nerve, and that could be. I just know it's so weird to feel sensations go through your body, that you can't explain. It sometimes feels like static electricity, my hairs on my arms stand straight up. I can move my limbs, but they do get tingly. Whatever it is though it has given me more disorders as the years have passed. And if I don't find out something soon, I will continue to make myself worse with worry. I'm sure my anxiety is increased, and flares up my stomach when I have these episodes. They are all I can think about when they happen. Totally sucks. I am taking that advice, as someone else said to do, get copies of my records so I can show the neurologist. Thanks for your reply. Oh my gosh, you do know how I feel. My goodness, I don't feel so bad now honestly. I have the hair standing up for no dang reason at all. Scares the hell out of me, because I think I"m having a stroke. I have numbness/tingling sensations, so hard to explain because it seems like more of crawling or electric static sensations. Once I swore I had lice, because my head felt like stuff was crawling around in it..but of course I didn't. My past week has been awful, so my anxiety has been full swing. I manage to get through things though, but how I don't know. I work as a waitress, and go to school. My daughter started 6th grade this year, so I help her with alot of stuff too. I thank god everyday for her, because when I get really down and depressed, I think of her, or listen to her voice. I have had everything done since 05' and yes now I have IBS, and acid reflux, but other than that I appear to be healthy. But on the inside, I feel like I am falling apart. And trying to explain to people that I'm actually hurting and feel like crap, is sometimes hard. Because they think I look okay. I did see a neurologist today, and I have to go get more tests done, and thankfully he listened to me, and said " all those doctors saying it's only anxiety is crazy, not you, if they thought your anxiety was that bad, they should have sent you to a psychiatrist."...lol So I have tests to do soon, and he said he was ordering different types of bloodwork. So I am crossing my fingers, and hoping he comes up with something, good or bad. I can handle it if I knew the problem, ya know? It's always the not knowing for sure, yet feel like there has to be something going on. My back has been killing me lately, and my left leg. It's been hard to move my leg, and I've had ridiculous pain in my head and pressure in my ears. Sometimes my ears feel like they are on fire, and burn red, yet I'm cold and clammy everywhere else. Sometimes I feel like my tongue is numb, and my eyes hurt, and I have trouble swallowing..I pray that you feel better soon Kholmes...but in a way I am glad I'm not the only one..thank you for replying.

We need to talk other than here w/o everybody getting our info I too got my ab left in me had to put me bak in labor n blood transfusion this is a trip I haven't been right since 92 really looking bak -very abusive husband all kinda of stuff to tell you how can we communicate ?

i am so sorry you have to work, i worked myself out, had to quit my job, long story, i met my husband at work and he is in management, i was missing a lot of work and everybody was giving both of us heck, bunch of jealous women, need i say more, i live in a small town in alabama and there is nothing here, nothing, including doctors. i went to a hospital/teaching school in Birmingham, Al., 21/2 hours one way, i get there to see a rheamatologist, (suppose to be one of the best hospitals in the country) and you get moved thru there like cattle, the doctor was on her cell phone regarding her new home construction the whole time, she spent 20 minutes with me, after chasing my illness for over 10 years i thought i had finally found somebody that was going to help me and she didnt. She ruled out Lupus or so she says, i continue to have a positive ana (means a positive for autoimmune disease and high crp levels, (inflammation) and high liver enzymes and we dont know why, i still have to be tested for lupus again in December, along with Sjogrens and Raynauds. Anyhoo, who knows, i know i have been thru the ringer and i am sick of it, do you get so bad you cant walk, i do and thats what scares me, i am 44, where am i going to be in 10 years, sometimes i feel like i already need a cane to walk. i see neuro wednesday, cant wait, hope i am not disappointed, i need help, this has changed my whole life, and i missed a lot of my childrens (they are 21 and 23 now) but i think i have been sick as long as they can remember. going to go try and give the dogs a bath, my hubby gonna help me, i have 5 dogs a cat and a parrot, obviously i love animals, have one dog that is 18 and a cat 19, we have been thru thick and thin, the other dogs are 100 lbs big babies, pit mixes, they are all rescues and a parrot named charlie that is barking like a dog right now, he is driving me nuts !!
