Pre Diagnosis MS

I went to my appointment this morning telling the doc I didnt know where to go from here, theres not really much more we can do from here. She asked what the neuro had said, and I told her the neuro said not caused by diabetes, numbers are too low, not caused by low Vit D and B12, they are normal, and not MS because the foci are on one side of the brain. Thats when she said that the neuro had emailed her and said she wanted to keep an eye on me and suspects its the beginning stages of MS. The doc says she is giving me a "pre" diagnosis of MS. A bit of relief has been off my shoulders now, but I can only somewhat take this with a grain of salt. Last January I was positive on one test for Lyme but not another, Then it was a pituitary tumor on my ct, but didnt show on my mri. Now it is a "pre" diagnosis of MS. The doc says that i will be seeing her and the neuro on occasion to keep an eye on it. To see if there are anymore lesions showing on the other side.
This kinda brings up and ties into another medical problem I had. When I had my hystarectomy, the doc told me "Oddest thing...the right side of your uterus was nice and firm and pink, but the left side of your uterus was grey and limp".
So I dont know what to think of the "one sided trick" my body has decided to play on me.
But I do know for sure that unless there is and emergency, I wont be pursuing it any longer.
Can anyone explain to me in further detail "pre" diagnosis and the OMS diet?

Hi Dar - you mentioned a positive Lyme test. Have you thought about pursuing that?
Many people with Lyme disease have plaque on the brain show up on mri’s.

My Dr sent me to a Neurologist to rule out MS, Parkinson’s and ALS because of my symptoms.

(Although I didn’t have anything showing on my mri)

I then tested positive for Lyme disease and am treating that now.

which type of lyme test did you test positive for and which one negative?

Did your neurologist describe the foci as white matter lesions? Girlie is right, white matter lesions in the brain and spinal cord can show up in lyme as well. I've spoken to a few docs and neurologists about how "classic ms" and lyme white matter lesions tend to appear on MRI. And there are apparently some recognizable differences. It might be worth inquiring with your neurologist. It may not go anywhere, but it's worth getting him or her thinking about it.

Do you recall how many lesions or foci you had? And what size they were?

I do have an acquaintance who was diagnosed with ms and lupus at the same time, and then later discovered she had lyme. She was treated and is doing very well now. Not saying this is what you have, but a positive lyme test is an interesting piece to your puzzle.

I'm with Snoopy on his take of "pre-diagnosis". I have a friend who was told something similar a decade ago because she had a white matter lesion. There's been no change and the neurologists no longer wish to follow her.
