hey guys. i'm new to this. i've been having weird symptoms lately. when i tilt myhead back at certain angles or move it too fast from one position to another i get vertigo and i also experience fatigue often. i saw my doctor and had a ct scan first. it came back abnormal. so, he ordered a mri. it was also abnormal. my brainstem is enlarged. he said there is a good chance that it is MS. i'm only 18 so this is a lot to deal with, especially not being sure. i actually have an appointment at the cleveland clinic Mellen Center this friday. but in anyone's early stages did you have these symptoms. oh yeah, and they go away for months at a time then come back. if anyone has any info for me i'd greatly appreciate it. thank you.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this, particularly at such an early age!
There are lots and lots of different signs, like the vertigo, that could point to MS. Without knowing specifically what your MRI indicated, we'd only be guessing from here, but apparently there are lesions that appeared in places specific to MS that caused the doctor to think that perhaps indeed you might have it.
Yes, it is common, particularly in the early stages, for symptoms to come and go, and sometimes disappear for months at a time. That's why it's called "relapsing-remitting" :)
Friday isn't SO far away. I hope you get some definitive answers then. If it IS MS, be sure to come back. We'll point you to lots of good information. For now, it's probably better that you NOT focus on this, and go about your life for the next couple of days, as best you can...and then start worrying when you have something concrete to worry about!
