MS Spasams

How have you been dealing with the spasams? Benn diagnosed with ms for 2 years. Started on betaseron untill March of this year. Switched to copaxion in march as a cardiovascular suggestion from my dr. Started experiencing spasams for the first time 3 weeks ago. Predisne semmed to help, they returned three days after treatment, and has gotten worse since. Three treatments of steroidal injections haven't helped either. Also tryed Tinizedine, neurontin, and now DIAZEPAM and another round of prednisone. Nothing seems to help. It will start inmy right hip and travel down my right leg tightning every muscle until it reaches my toes causing them to deform in every direction and travle up my left leg as as excrusiating pins and needles. What has helped you in dealing with this? I haven't left the house in 3 weeks because of this. Any help? hillo

Welcome to the forum. There are a couple of medications you can ask your doctor about. Baclophen seems to work really well for some with leg spasticity and Zanaflex is another one you can try if that doesn't work. I hope you find something that helps.
