Hi Shelly, missed you Mon. night on the chat.
I had the neuro psych testing, evok potentials, and mri of brain and spine done this month.
The neuro testing is tiring, took almost 4 hours. They asked what some certain words
meant. Just wordslike maybe pleasant or division. Then I had to put some toothpick type
sticks into 12 holes with each hand. Then I had to tap my fore finger as fast as I
could against a stricker on each hand. I had to copy a drawing best I could. Then later
she asked me to draw it from memory. I had to make designs from these cubes and she
had a picture to go by. She read a story maybe 10 sentences long and asked me to
repeat it. The hardest one for me was she put four cards in front of me, a purple star,
maybe a red circle, and so on. The rest of the deck I had to go through and put under
which one I thought it went with and she would only say right or wrong. Got them all
wrong I never did find out what was susposed to be, and I asked now can you tell me
what I should have been doing and she said no! Well I didn't do so well on any of it. She
said my memory is in there ( so not like alshimers) I just can't retrieve it. SHe said it is
consistant with ms. I can't drive any longer.
I was at a stop light and was ging to make a left turn, I guess my mind wandered and
when the light turned green I heard honking. Couldn't figure out why. Took alot of
honking to make me realize it was me. I guess I forgot I was driving.
She said to do one thing at a time as long as I can and not to try to multitask. She said
they will probably see at work this year that I am having a hard time with memory and
speech. As I was leaving she asked me to repeat the story she told me at the begining of
the session. I had no idea what or who it was about. I remembered her telling a story but
not a thing about it. 
So don't be afraid, you sure can't do worse than that.
