I am a 45 yesr old single parent just recently dxd with MS 7/06. I was fine. I always got attention and a few phone calls. Wow. Then I started losing my balance and I started walkin with a sexy white "walking stick". Hey I was still gettin attention and whisles. Then one day, I started falling. Oh how embarrasing. What was my problem? DXD with MS. Now I purchased a cute walker with a seat attached and a basket.(my BMW) but now the attention was no more at least not in that way. The fellows just give me a smile out of pity. Now I am in a scooter. I am still the same person. Oh Well............

Getting narried on friday!! To a man that cooks, cleans, shops, works and takes care of business!He has been around since before I was diagnosed and sat next to me when they told me the news. AND he still stands next to me even at my worst moments, can't understand it, but he does it! lol. I have dated others since I was diagnosed, but being diagnosed has really taken a heavy hit to my self esteem, I must admit.

I live in Michigan.  The MI MS Society has  MS singles gatherings.  You might want to check out your MS Society chapter to see  if they have such gatherings.

I discovered something very important All of this love that I was in search of since being Dxd with MS Wow Golly Gee Wiz I had it all the time.  Guess where it was?  Inside of myself LOL.  Hey nobody can love me better than me. Now when it comes to matters of sex I ain't gonna lie I need lots of assistance with that one LOL.  But just maybe if I stop feelin sorry for myself and throw a little rouge on my face and a little bit of lipstick on just maybe I will catch someone nice, charming and sweet.  Attitude is everything.  We must not stay down in the dumps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What do you think?????????????

Hi Soft,

 

   I truly believe there is someone out there for everyone!  Don't give up hope, love seems to strike when we least expect it :-) My husband and I have been married 15 years now, he was dxd 6 years ago.  I can honestly say our relationship has only strengthened since the MS. 

 

   On another topic, just wanted to let you know, I edited your other two posts to take out the caps and make it easier to read :-)

ALRIGHT!!! Great way of thinking..and of course it's soooo true!! U hold u'rself up high and let the world see that special person u are by u just enjoying u'r life and not letting ms or anything else get u down. The right person will come along and u'll be ready for him, but until then strengthen u'rself and hold on tight. All things pass in time...but go faster with friends...so stay in touch with us and let us know how u are!

I am doing quite well...despite this whole MS thing....

 

In the living room sits my dream girl who married me AFTER I wasd DX'ed with MS.

 

She defines special....And I define lucky.

PS--on a side note, in late 2001, I was watching some T.V. one night, and a Chevrolet commercial came on.  At the very end of the commercial was a note saying how Chevy is the sponsor for the Olympic Torch for Salt Lake City Olympics.  And log on to their websight and nominate someone.

 

So I sat down and logged on to Chevy's sight, and wrote, "...13 years ago, my wife Robin married me despite the fact that I was a Multiple Sclerosis patient, and all the challenges a situation like that could hold.  I think she deserves to carry the Olympic Torch.

 

Not only was SHE picked, SO WAS I !!!

 

It was an amazing experience!!!

How Awesome!!!

I think both of you are very lucky.

I married my hubby because of how beautiful he was inside and out!! He wasn't that funny in the begining but 10 years later he makes me laugh daily. When my problems first started to surface and my memory was gone, he was the one that made light of the situation. Teasing me that I would now be the one to forget the anivarsary!! I love him so much!!!

Some of our members find it easier to read in blue and to have a lot of breaks in the text. These are things you learn after being here awile. Don't feel bad look at me I still can't remember to use blue!!haha

I am glad that you found HW. Pull up a chair and stay awhile!
