Hi everyone,

I'm having carpal tunnel release surgery tomorrow around noon, so I may not be around much for awhile (unless I get really good at typing right handed or can hire a secretary.)

I'm hoping this surgery will help, though I'm a bit worried that maybe this isn't carpal tunnel syndrome I'm dealing with. The nerve conduction test showed severe carpal tunnel, but a couple of the other tests that they do (the one where you bend your hand back and the doctor taps on your wrist, which is supposed to produce numbness, didn't affect me at all, as do none of the other tests like that.)

I guess we'll see.

Anyway, love and hugs to all and I'll check in when I can.

Good luck with your surgery! You might still manage typing -- when my friend had it done, her fingers were free -- a bit clumsy (as there was bandaging on the palm of her hand) but the fingers were still workable.

At any rate, I hope you heal soon..and that the surgery is successful!

Hey Lisa!

Best wishes and many prayers for u and u'r surgery! I hope the surg is helpful and u see some relief. Please take it easy and don't try to come back here too soon, tho i imagine u'll be stir crazy for some 'type time' very soon! I can't imagine not using my computer for more than a few days...and that's a signicant withdrawal for me! ;) Take good care and let us know how u'r doing when u can.

Hi Lisa,
Good healing to you! I had both my wrists done and then my left one again. That was years ago but it did help! My 80 year old mother had hers done 2 years ago and did great and it helped her quite a bit!
