Hey Commett
I've had one done early on in my probs and can describe what they did to me. It's not too uncomfortable and is over relatively quickly. Basically they are trying to measure nerve impulses in the muscles. They'll do that by inserting a long, THIN, needle into the designated muscle or muscles and will test for not only conductivity, but sound. That means u'r muscles make certain sounds while at rest and other sounds while in movement. Abnormal sounds while at rest, for example, would indicate abnormal muscle or nerve activity. They'll have u move u'r muscle...for example, u'r leg...and they'll listen and prob count off the tonal sounds they hear. My test was done by my neuro so pretty much right away he was able to tell me a lot about the results. I had no nerve damage or abnormality in mine. Below is a link that may be helpful. When is u'r test scheduled for? U'll prob get u'r results at u'r next appt unless he does the test for u. Please come back and let us know how u'r doing and the results of u'r test.
