Has anyone been diagnosed with this as a result of neuropathy?

What works for it?

I'm at the point where I'm going to get an endoscopy because it's constant and nothing works.

I have a lot of the symptoms of this, but have never been specifically diagnosed with it.  What have you tried that hasn't worked?  I use over-the-counter Pepcid AC and it generally helps, but I also have esophegeal spasms so it's difficult sometimes to separate the heartburn from the spasms.

I am taking prilosec with no relief. I'm thinking it could be a spastic issue..How do you know you have espophegeal spasms? Did the doctor have to do an endoscopy for that?

Yes, an endoscopy. With the spasms, if I don't eat slowly, and swallow small bites with lots of fluids, the esophagus will go into spasms, and cause vomiting. Or food will lodge there, and then cause burning and pain. The doctor didn't prescribe any particular drugs -- just small bites, well chewed, "washed down" with water.
