We survived the MS Walk

Well my fiance and I ended up walking 3km's and we are happy we did it.  We were the last people, and that's ok.  They had us do a stretching warm up beforehand, which seemed to activate my spastic calf muscles, so it was a painful/stiff/slow walk, but we rested lots along the way. 

I hope if I decide to get the Baclofen the muscle pain will be a non-issue, as tonight I was doing some beading and now both my arms are killing me too.  I knew my legs would probably ache but no fair that my arms decide to do this today.. OUCH. I think it may be related to a new relapse as my middle finger is really sensitive and painful to the touch, has been for 2 days now. 

Ah well, hopefully the Betaseron prevented it from being worse than it could have been and nothing else decides to show up for a while. 

Good news is we raised $435 for the Canadian MS Society, and I think my employer will match that.

I am so proud of you!!!!!!!!!!!  That is a ton of money.  Good girl.  Thanks for doing that for us.  It would have been so much easier to stay home and let someone else go.  You are awesome.  Now rest and bask in the glory of your accompishment.

It was a surprise when on may 2007 I had the dianoise of ME.

It was and it still is hard. Having a teenager daugther and an husband with helthy problems (he has been operated to his column some years ago, I was the really support of the family. I still am even if sometimes I have to look for courge everywhere. I had a second crisis on the Holly week. A friend of mine told me that I have been chosen to be Simon of Cirene helping Jesus carrying His cross. Somehow this thought helped me to carry on even if it slower than ever.

Way to go Shar!  My family and I walked the 3mile walk here on Saturday, we made the whole thing and even got up the hills!  I was quite pooped but so grateful for the experience, we all had a great time.  It was so nice to do something with my husband and daughters outdoors...it's been a long time!  Priceless!

 

Wish we could post pictures, I have a great one!  I know after the colon surgery it will be a while before I can get out and around so the picture will be wonderful for me to look at and remember!
