first copaxone shot a success

Hi!  Just thought I would let you know that I had my first copaxone shot last night and it went fairly well.  Just experienced a little burning and then some minor pain (ache) for about ten minutes after the shot in my arm.  I chose do do the arm first because I had not injected there with betaseron.  Today there is no sign of redness or swelling. I really like the autoinjector better than the one for betaseron.  It is shorter which makes it easier for me to inject in my arms and hip area.  Hopefully, the shots will work and continue to be easy to take.  I, for the first time, am happy that I am not thin!  I want to thank everyone for their encouragement... so thanks!

Yay…congrats on your first shot! I’ll bet you are relieved to have it over with, huh. That’s great that you had so little reaction to it. Hopefully this means that you will be able to tolerate Copaxone well on a long term basis.  :-)

YAHOO!!! U've done great!! I'm so glad this went so well for u and i'm sure it will continue to go well because u'r tough and u push on!! Keep going and let us know how u'r doing. I just know u'r going to do great!

Hey Barb,

Good job!!!!  We are all so proud of you.  You are going to feel great about managing your meds successfully.  Keep up the geat work and keep us posted on your progress.  And I like you, am happy to have some body fat for my injecting purposes ;)
