   Hi Karen...I remember that when I went to UNB in the early 70s that the Stan Cassidy foundation gave me a bursary because my Dad was killed in a car accident coming home from Halifax after visiting my Mom in the Victoria General Hospital after she was diagnosed with ALS. The family finances were tied up pending the court case on who caused the accident. They ruled that the other party did but that still wasn't going to bring Dad back. I will be forever grateful to that foundation as they were the difference between whether I got to finish university or not. Until the court case was settled,the Stan Cassidy Foundation came through to lend a helping hand. He tried to do it anonymously, but I found who it was and I went to the Foundation so I could personally thank them. Now it is great to see that they have a centre. I have never been there before but have friends that have been. What do you think of it?

  I think I misunderstood when you asked me about how I got to the clinic in Halifax...I was referred by my GP in Saint John and Dr McKelvey then further hooked me up with the MS nurse in Halifax. Hope that more suitably answers your question about the MS clinic and the MS nurses. Good luck Karen and let everyone here know how you are doing.

Hi Dale, sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you.  It has been a rather rough couple of days.  the pain is around my ribs and into my back.  I am having a tough time just breathing properly.  I see my doctor tomorrow but am on Demerol for pain but it doesn't do much. 

Yes the Stan Cassidy Centre was down town Fredericton for several years and now is Brand new up at Chalmers Hospital.  I have been there for therapy a couple of times.  They are wonderful and kind but very knowledgeable people.  I almost feel like I am wasting their time as there are people a lot more serious in need of their services than me.  It is a beautiful building and as I said the staff and therapists and doctors are great.

Well I will let you know how it goes with my doctor tomorrow.  Hopefully not too bad as I am off to Winnipeg for a month on the 15th to visit my girls and 5 grandchildren.  Haven't me my newest granddaughter yet and she was born in November.  Yikes.  Take care.
