UCRICK - Thanks for clarifying things for me. During my first colonoscopy after surgery, about
six months, the surgeon had to remove four polyps from the little colon I have left. All came out just find though. I'm sorry to hear your TC was due to cancer. I wish you all the best and hope everythings comes out fine after your procedure!!!!
MOM2SOPHIA - My TC was due to CI and in the beginning months post-op there were things I couldn't eat that I did pre-op. Dairy was one of the things that I remember most. In the beginning I just didn't seem to have big appetite, however, that has since changed. I pretty much can eat what I want with the exception of beans. about a month ago I cooked a pot of ham and beans and I was so miserable that I had to go and purge them back up do the the pain of the gas. I suppose there's more food that increases gas but I can chew a few Gas-X and I'm fine.
It's really all trial and error. Oh, red meat didn't do well with me for the first few months post-op, but now I'm fine with it.
Hope this helps and I'm sure others will post with their experiences.
