Anyone months after surgery get an abcess in the crack of your bum???

I could not belive that 2 1/2 months after my illie I keep getting this pain in my tush and then had a little blood then pain so went to my Gi and she said you have an abcess due to the mucos that drains as I still have 8 in of rectum left.So I went to the surgeon on Friday and he cut and drained it.. So I am still draining and not sure that its normal? HAs anyone else had this problem?Thanks

i'm still draining from previous abcesses, from the mucus. My doc put me on cipro last thursday and i'm on humira. Did ur doc put u on n e antibiotics. Also, he said the next step may be some sort of enema..which i am so NOT down for, so this cipro better kick in soon!

No they didn't put me on any antibiotics and now I'm thinking that they should...As I still have some greenish stuff coming out.. JUst when you think your bum is getting better its still has problems. I can't imagine a enema right now.I only had it for two weeks and then had it drained. Oh I your getts better too...

yeah it sucks, my doc says that i have the green stuff too. I hope it doesnt delay my healing for reversal...itl get better for us. it has to
