Lots of Pain In My Ass Post J-pouch Surgery

I just had j-pouch surgery 2 weeks ago. I have the osotomy and waiting to heal to complete the procedure. Yesterday I had a fever of 101 and a lot of pain in my tail bone. So bad I can't sit down. I'm passing mucuos down below. It is clear and no blood. This morning the fever is gone , but the butt pain continues. Has anyone had this experience. Is it because I layed around to long? I really need your help. Thanks, Joe

The mucous is normal but the pain and fever are not. Contact your surgeon for a post op evaluation.

I have had the mucous for like 4 weeks and even sometimes with blood but I have also heard normal. However, like suebear said, fever is not normal. I have not had any fever since surgery. I recall on my discharge papers that it says to call with a fever so I would definately call your surgeon.

i had the same surgery on 3/20/08. my tailbone hurts alot. my doctor told me it would hurt for a while. i purchased a coccyx cushion two days ago and it has relieved some of the pain when i sit because im not putting pressure on the tailbone. i still have mucous and liquid that comes out. the first two weeks was a little boody but its now white mucous and clear liquids. hope this helps
