Anyone have some good info on dealing with the "itchy's"
It seem that my stoma must be healing.. I still have stitches around it... been 3 weeks since the surgery.
Anyway, at some moments I get this totally major itch attack and just can't get any relief, it seems to be under the wax ring... rubbing around the area helps minimumly..
changing the wafer shows all to be looking fairly well, no major irritation or reddining
Thankfully the feeling subsides after awhile, but it sure is intense when its going on..
Oh ya, no leak probs either
There has got to be something better than just gritting you teeth...
anyone????

Every now and then I get the itchies, and my Eakin seal is not compromised either. I just got empty my bag and rinse it out - up around the stoma -- with cool water. Sometimes that helps right away, sometimes it takes a few minutes. Usually works for me.
I know the feeling.

i know i am super helpful, lol
i have found though, if you have one place that is itching and then you start to think that something else is itching, like your leg or something, it kind of helps.
