I need yor help

Well to me coloplast have the best products and they aren't that expensive. I've noticed that they all cost about the same. I don't know if you use adhesive but if you do I would recommend the convetec adhesive thats what they give you at the hospital. For that red skin my E.T. nurse gave me a powder also made by convetec calledadhesive protectant powder. It's good to put on the red irritated skin before putting on knew bags it don't mess with the tape either, it alo serves as a protectant against further irratation. And last but not least coloplast assura bags are good. From what i've experienced there tape is good and their bags have a nice material over it and air filter to release gas so you don't have to empty gas from your bag and you don't need a clip because they have an integrated outlet closing system. It has a velcro on the bag and you just open it empty wipe and then close and snap the velcro back together. That saves time and is easy to conceal. Oh I almost forgot hollister have a deoderizer called m9 you just drop a couple of drops in your bag after every empty and it destroys the oder. Now most of the places I've ordered from deliver the next day and I dpon't know about the insurance part because I use cash and I'm usually out of about $80 a month to 6 weeks. GOOD LUCK!

 

To help with the redness, try a skin prep. Skin prep comes in individually sealed wrappers or spray. They form a protection between the skin and adhesive on the wafer. Smith and Nephew No Sting and Cavilon are two. I prefer Cavilon because it dries quicker. The Stomahesive powder is good when you have an irritation. First apply the powder, then the skin prep.Call all the companies and ask for samples.They are terrific about sending everything. Ask for barrier preps, adhesive removers, seals (Eakin (convatec), Coloplast strips).I order my stuff through Edgepark. My insurance does not cover my ostomy needs.
