Durahesive wafers are made esp for ileostomies whereas stomahesive wafers are more for colostomies, altho many ileostomates do use stomahesive and many colostomates use durahesive - there is no right or wrong. I used stomahesive for many years with my ileostomy.
Durahesive has special properties in it which makes the bit around the wafer 'turtle neck' up around the stoma, thus, supposedly, preventing leakages. Stomahesive just lies flat around the stoma.
It's really up to you which one you prefer to use. Get some samples from the manufacturer and test them out, that's the only way to know if they will suit you or not :)
