Hi Lew, thank you for thinking of her. Bratcat is doing pretty well. She went for a pouchoscopy today. The surgeon said everything looks great in her new pouch. He also did a quick test run filling it with liquid and it held perfectly. We set a date for takedown for November 10. She could have the surgery anytime after October but wants to enjoy some of the fun things in school this fall. She starts school next Wednesday. She will have the official test to make sure the j-pouch is working right in late October.
How exciting that your son is going to college. It's nice that he is far enough away to be independent but close enough if he wants to come home. I'm glad he is doing well. Is he going to think about a reversal down the road? He's probably happy just not to feel sick and to be able to just think about being a teenager for awhile.
