After switching over to a Hollister two-piece system I find myself with a bunch of leftover Coloplast Sensura supplies. I'm lucky enough to be covered by insurance, but I know not everyone is as fortunate. If there is anyone who would be interested in taking them off my hands, please respond. I'll even ship for free. What I have:

17 Coloplast Sensura bags
1 tube Convatec Stomahesive
1 box Reliamed Protective Barrier Wipes

if you don't have any takers, you can return them to your supplier...as long as the boxes aren't opened...I did that with the unopened boxes, the opened boxes I gave to the stoma nurses at my hospital. They have a volunteer that matches supplies to people who cannot affford/don't have insurance to cover supplies. Maybe yours has something similar.

just curious...what made you switch from Coloplast, Sensura to Hollister?

I use Sensura and find they work wonderfully. I was allergic to Hollister and Convatec.

When I had my reversal I hade three and a half boxs of bags I tryed to return them to my pharmacy but thay would not take them back.I gave them to the ostamy nurse at my hospital.The hospital will only buy the cheapest bags so her patients only get to try other bags when she can get samples from the companys that make them.She was very happy to get them.

I switched for two reasons really:

1) I wanted to move from a 1-piece system to a 2-piece system.

2) The Coloplast wafer is thicker and less flexible than the fabric of the Hollister system. I had trouble getting it to conform to my stomach a lot of time.


I also hated using Stomahesive to attach it. I know there are other products out there (like the barrier rings I use now), so that's a main reason for switching.
