I don't know but I would call the dr and ask rather than wait till you get there and be disappointed on Friday. I would think it would be fine though. Please keep me posted on how your surgery goes; I am scheduled for reversal in December. How long have you had your ileostomy?

I emailed my surgeon about it this morning. I'm just worried about increasing the chance of infection. I had a couple holes in my skin from the first incision opening up and one under my bag and he wanted to wait until they closed up before doing the reversal. Granted, those are much closer to the surgical site than my toes, haha. I cried so hard last night because I was worried about my stupid toe delaying my reversal.

2risk- I had my first surgery on July 30, so about 3 and a half months with my ileo. I'm so ready to get it reversed, but also scared to death. The bag is super convenient and I absolutely love being able to eat ANYTHING I want without pain or worry. I'll let you know how mine goes, but I'm sure we'll both be fine. Everyone else seems to be pretty happy with theirs.

Spongebabe, I feel the opposite of you. I think the bag is so inconvenient and I can't wait to get rid of it. But you're right in the fact that I'm sure our reversals will turn out just fine. I can't wait to hear how your goes. Good luck with yours!
