Canadian..looking for Ontario centre that can reverse

Check out Mt. Sinai in Toronto.  Dr. Cohen, Dr. McCloud and Dr.McCrae are some of the best surgeons in Canada.  Dr. Cohen himself pioneered the pelvic pouch procedure in North America in the 80's.  Your father's age may be a problem re: incontinence.  Good luck!

Hi there!  A fellow Canadian eh?  I am sorry your Dad (and you) are going through so much.  I had my surgery (partial colectomy with removal of prior mesh, resection, 2 fistula repairs and loop ileostomy) done on Sept 23 in Kingston.  It was Dr Paul Belliveau.  If you look him up on the web you can read what a fine doctor he is.  He is a gen surgeon with his specialty being in Colonrectal surgery.  He also has a super great compassionate manner about him.  His office phone number is: 613-544-3400, although you would need a referral to see him.  I wish you the best of luck in this..... Thanks Matt, I am documenting all Dr.s and Numbers to see just where we will go from here. Lot of good info on this site. You have had your ostomy for many yrs, My dad being older has had a very difficult time dealing with it, as he cannot change his bag or do the care that is required, So if his bag leaks or breakes, he is at the mercy of Home care to get there to help him. He has at times waited 5-6 hrs, skin would be horrible around stoma due to the high acidity of the stool. It has not been a good experience, we are now looking into an anastomosis with his lg bowel. He still has most of his asending colon, all of his transverse and decending. Just really worried about stool incontinence, this would be much worse than his ostomy
