I've had huge success so far with them (touch wood) I've been leak free for a week now but does anyone find the flange starts to unstick within a day from the outer edge?  Is there anything I can do about that?  I know it's not really a problem but it does mean I have to change them every 1 to 2 days before it opens up more and could cause anything to escape quicker.  I do heat it up extremely well when applying :-)

You might want to "picture frame" some good waterproof tape around the wafer. I've been doing this for almost 20 years. It's part of my normal appliance changing routine. I prefer to use Hy Tape, but I'm sure there are other good brands out there. Not only will it give you a better seal around the edges, but it should help you increase wear time. Plus, it's a definite must if you plan on going swimming.

And, just an FYI, I really love Convatec's pouches also!!!

vette guy is right, tape the edges down, it really helps. I use a brand called Mefix here in Canada. Holds well through showers etc.

If you find you can't tolerate tape (like me, except for paper tape by 3M), you can try flange extensions. There are two brands I am familiar with Welland Medical's Hyrdro Frame

What Welland Medical says on their site in regards to these products: ‘Framing’ with tapes, strips or patches is one way to assist where additional adhesion is required. But this method can cause problems in itself, such as adverse reactions to the strong adhesives (glues) causing skin irritation and excoriation.

I like the Securi-T brand more than the HydroFrame, because they seem to hold up longer than the Hydro-Frame.

Thanks Vintageman and Ohio43  I'm still waiting on the nurse calling so will ask about all the different ones as I get sore skin easily so I will see what she says you usually get what you are given here.  Still no leaks though so I'm over the moon :-)

I would suggest that when you change the wafer, get some adhesive spray, thats what I use
