stomach looks like a butt

anyone else have a stomach butt now after a open vertical incision. and if so how much do you weigh? just curious if i loose weight will this look better. i woud post a picture of it on here if you could and show ya all how it looks. i hate it........ mad

your waist line will get smaller, but the "bumps" will never totally go away...

I mentioned before I too have the same thing. I think as you lose weight it actually gets worse, mine did. I weigh 125 and I still have it.

Oh it's not just me then I too have one boohoo.  I was skinny when I first had the op have fattened up now and it's still the same I was hoping loads of excercise when I'm better might help it, probably not shakehead

Same here. I am trying to lose weight right now using WW and counting points. The large bump is still there and probably always will look like a swollen mellon. Soooo my option is to lose as much of the buttocks as possible, work on posture and wear shirts/jackets to conceal as much as possible. I refuse to let this problem ruin my life. I am a survivor of UC /dyplasia and will concentrate on that.

OMG, I just thought to myself two days ago, that my stomach looks like a butt!  The scar runs straight down, seperating two butt cheeks, lol.  Although, I guess it's not that funny!  I was hoping it would go away with time, my scar is rather purpleish right now (just had surgery last Oct), had initially lost a lot of weight, but have managed to gain it all right back again.  Gonna have reversal in April, the doctor said he would refine the scar then, make it finer and thinner---we'll see.  I was hoping to only have one butt then--  Well, glad (I guess) to know I'm not the only one.

As I was sitting here laughing, my daughter asked me what was so funny, so, I told her and showed her what my stomach looks like (she's 13).  At that very moment, my stoma decided to "talk", my daughter said, well, it sounds like a butt too!  Oh, the poor humor here--

I have the same issue. But I have found that if I am less bloated then it isn't as bad.

so glad i am not alone per say. and i have told the kids we should have me put my pants on backwards and pull up on shirt some and take a close up of my butt belly and post it on face book and see how many comments i get about showing a gross picture of someones real butt crack.. i bet it would look like a real one.............i hate it but what can ya do. if you cant get it better then have fun while you have it i guess..........................

I have a scar from hip to hip from my tummy tuck I had in 2007. I'm having a subtotal colectomy in april, I will have a scar down my tummy connecting to my tummy tuck car...like a upside down T. My belly button even has a scar around it.

I am 24 years old and scars don't bother me. I personally think they give you character ;)

wow that is a good way to look at it. i wish i could feel like that.. mine goes from about 2 inches above my belly button and then thru the belly button and down to the pubic bone.. and my belly button hurts alot though.............wish he could of not cut thru that.....

Yep...a stomach butt just about sums it up. I have had 4 surgeries, breast bone to pubic bone. Let's just say I have quite the racing stripe down my torso!

i wish i could see other peoples scars to see how normal or not normal mine is...... might make me feel better or worse depending LOL

how strange, i've been thinking the same thing since my reversal, i always know i can cout on you all to make me laugh or feel better.
