Prednisone Withdrawls?!

Am I feeling this way from Prednisone withdrawls?  I thought I had been tapering my pain meds decently, and am switching to Tylenol for pain management.  I took a Rx pain med this evening in hopes that it will help me go to sleep...but so far it's not working.

I'm also waking up with headaches.  Every morning.  I slugishly make it to the kitchen and take my Excedrin then go back to bed...normally within an hour my headache is gone. 

My jittery issues only occur in the evenings.  It's absolutely crazy!  I just wan to jump out of my skin!

Do you guys know what I'm talking about or am I looney?

yep, it sounds like pred withdrawal... that drug is evil

the good news is... it will soon be out of your system and you'll hopefully never have to take it again!

And I will NEVER take prednisone again.  Nope.  If poison ivy becomes an issue I will use the pink cream and take oatmeal baths before going back to those evil little white pills.  : )  It's a good thing I'm not really allergic to the ivy!  I've only had it a handfull of times in my entire life, and it's been extremely minimal.  Now, my brother is a different story...poor guy...as a child he simply had to breathe around it and he was taken to the doctor for shots.  He still gets that way at times.

Anyway, I've gotten off ALL meds except for my Paxil, and I'm just taking Prilosec once a day now...I love my mustard and spicy foods, so now that I'm eating them again I really do not want the reflux to start back up.  : )  I'm going back on my birth control at the next opportunity b/c I wanted that out of my system too just to give my hormones a chance to relax and breathe without all that medication!

Thanks guys so much for your support.  If it weren't so cold last night I would have taken a midnight stroll around our neighborhood.  However, it's freezing and icy, so leave it to me to fall on black ice half a mile from home and have to call someone to come get me.  That's MY luck.  : )  Summerstorm has the funny stories about pudding and washcloths...I'm the one with the bumps and bruises from dorky mishaps. 

Anyway, I was talking my withdrawls and how irritating it is.  I hadn't realized that the terms I was using really made me look like a drug user!  I talked about the "roids" and the "pain pills" and then my shakes, jitteryness, headaches, etc.  The couple next to our table kept glancing my way, and then then guy at near by table actually turned all the way around in his chair and just stared.  I don't look anything at all like a druggy!  It's a good thing I hadn't mentioned my infusions and the IV drug!!!  Once I realized these people were sizing me up I should have talked more about my hospitalizations and tollerance to vicadin!  I never think of smart ass things to say right away...it's always an hour later that I have my come back.  : )
