Is anyone using those?

I know we had a thread a while back about trying them, but I was wondering if anyone was using them regularly?
I decided to buy some, but could only find one size wafer.

I bought some, but they were way too big. So I sent them back. The bags I bought are too small for the ONLY size wafer.
They have other convex wafer sizes, but I don't need convex.
My stoma stick out plenty far. At least an inch.

Would it hurt to use the convex, even if I don't need it?

I use this exclusively now and love them.

I have been ordering from Edgepark, they have more than one size wafer. I do one of the cut-to-fit convex, I think it's 5/8 - 1-3/4.

I would try contacting Coloplast and speaking to a rep. They can advise you about the sizing and availability (perhaps the flat only come in one size?) and will probably send you samples for your size. You'll know what to order after that. Or maybe call Edgepark, or check the website.

My stoma sticks out too, but I have found that I have ZERO leaks and much longer wear time (6-7 days) with the convex, I think because my skin kind of dips on one side of the stoma.

I called Edgepark.
They confirmed they only sold the one size for that wafer. So they advised me to call coloplast.

I called Coloplast and the rep. said they had multiple sizes for that wafer and maybe Edgepark doesn't sell them b/c no one's ever asked for them.

I called Edgepark back and they are going to try to special order them for me.
If they can't, I'll try the convex.

Hey Chassity, glad you got some answers. Lean on Coloplast to send you some samples while you are waiting for your special order!

My stoma sticks out considerably, perhaps 3/4 of an inch, if not an inch. My tummy is quite round, and in the skin under my stoma there is a little valley, I think it's an old stretch mark from one of my pregnancies, and so my ET RN had predicted I may need convex someday. She was right. I had success with the flat wafers for two months after surgery, then started having nightly leaks. Once I switched to convex, no more leaks (knock on wood).

I've really liked the Coloplast wafers too -- they are easy to dry and seem good for sensitive skin, they're kind of a rubbery texture. I used to love my Hollister, but now I don't think I can go back.
