So frustrated... just venting for a second

I'm miserable, in pain, and I just want my colon OUT! I had two surgeons recommended to me, but neither of them can see me for a consultation for 2 weeks. And one of them is a general surgeon, so I'm not too keen about going to him. I'd rather go to someone that specializes in colon and rectal surgery. But I also don't want to pick just a random surgeon from a list. Looks like I may have to do that though if I want to get in sooner than 2 weeks. Ugh! I just want someone to get rid of this horrible colon. :(

sorry to hear this. cant you check in to the emergency room of the hospital where your doctor is? that should be better than a general doc. they should admit you then the ball should start things movin plus they would probably inform him/ her that youve been admitted. hang in there itll get better

Funny how things are. I want to wait and get mine out. (Don't have the pain and suffering you are going through) but I hope it ends for you soon. There is just no brain power when in a lot of pain. I too would go with the specialist. SHe/He practices more on GI Stuff and what you will need done?! A prayer your way for relief.

Be patient. I know its hard to deal with bc i was in your shoes. I had UC and for almost a year went undiagnosed. It was SO frustrating bc i was literally RUNNING to the bathroom and the whole time i was pooing i was in pain from how inflammed my colon was. I had temporary ileostomy surgery Nov.19 of last yr and then 6 days ago i had it reversed. Im not feeling the greatest but at least im healthier than i was with my yucky colon. Just stay positive. Thats the best thing to do. And look up doctors that are around where you live that specialize in this type of surgery. I go an hr and half away to a hosptial that specializes in this and its deff worth the drive!

What state do you live in?  Maybe someone here can recommend a good surgeon for you.
