I had my takedown on June 3rd at 7:30am. The surgery lasted about
1 hour and I was up in my room at around 11 am with my family. I woke up feeling like someone stabbed me in my belly and the nurses immediately started the morphine clicker ... life got a lot better after that!
I have a hole in my belly which is closing up really nice. There is a lot of pain there but nothing compared to the first surgery.
I didn't go to the bathroom much the first day of the surgery. Maybe a couple of times but only drops of blood came out.
The second day .. that's when things started moving. I had soiled myself that night and started having liquid bowel movements. Major butt burn! The creams help a lot! That's one thing that's VERY important ... the creams! Calmoseptine!
I was discharged and now am at home ... pain is there ... but manageable. I go to the bathroom every couple of hours but I can control it ... it's not like I have to B line it otherwise I'm in trouble. This is a major PLUS in my books.
Overall .. I'm very happy with my outcome so far. I could not have asked for anything more than this.

I'm so happy for you! And, congratulations on the baby coming soon. Is this your first? When is the due date? My advice is to register at Babies R Us and have a Baby Shower. That will save you from having to buy it all yourselves.
