Step 2 surgery last Tues. Feeling horribly- what should i do

Starting yesterday I started getting bad rectal pressure which i know is normal. Also some pain and liquid coming out of butt including some liquid stool. I don't have the jpouch connected. It was created and i stil have an ileo until the take down.
Well. the pain has gotten worse- I called the doctor today and told me that everything sounds normal, but even with the Percocet the pain is horrilbe if I miss a does or don't take it after 4 hours. I also think I am running a termperature.

Ideas? I am getting a thermometer tomorrow morning and checking temp- should I try to go to see surgeon. Everything else is healing fine.
Could I have an infection??? I am so miseratble and want to lay in bed all day

if you have a fever, you should DEFINITELY call your surgeon! Can you take your temp now? Have someone get you a thermometer NOW.
I just don't think you should be in that much pain.

After my total colectomy (5 days after), I had pain like that, pain that percocet didn't touch and I was running a high fever (started low and zoomed up fast) I had peritonitis brewing.

Actually, if I were you, I'd go to the hospital. they can do a ct scan to make sure all is ok.
and you'd feel better knowing that.

yeah - now I am getting worried. The pain is better becauwe I too Percocet, and I don't have a temperature now. but I'm sure I did a while ago. i am going to call doctor tomorrow to see him. I hope it isn't back into hospital for me ....

i hope not for you too, that you don;t have to go back to the hosp.
and it's a very good sign that you don't have a fever. very good.
but definitely get things checked tomorrow. and baby sit yourself tonight.

This could be an abcess brewing.  Call your surgeon ASAP.

Well- my friends- suebear and chassity- were right . Thanks ladies for the advice.

Ended up seeing doctor and I am now in the hospital with a drain in my butt cheek. I had quite a bit of fluid behind the pouch, running a fever, and in SOOOOO much pain. Pure agony.

Still in hospital- prob until tomorrow or Monday.

Back to rest.... Thanks all for asking.
