an update on Amanda's (2 RIS K) conditon!

i just got a message on facebook from Amanda's husband and instead of trying to explain it myself, as it's a lot to explain, i just copied his message and paste it here:

Hi, this is Amanda's husband, I just saw your messages on Amanda's profile so thought I would give you a quick update. It's been an interesting month (it's never easy with Amanda). The surgery went fine, there were some kinks that they were able to fix. They found evidence of a small leak a couple days later, but unfortunately were never able to find the actual leak. It seemed to clear up and she was doing better, but then suddenly started having 105 degree temperatures, 180 BPM heart rate, etc. This happened twice over the next week, and we finally realize she has an infection from her central line. After 3 weeks she was well enough to go home, but not for long. The next day she becomes extremely nauseated, throwing up every 30 minutes no matter what we did - this went on for 3 days before returning to the hospital. So we're still in the hospital trying to figure out what's making her so nauseated. All the tests show that the surgery was a success, her bowels are all working perfect, there's nothing wrong. The only thing we can think of at this point is possibly the gall bladder, I'll try to keep you posted on what happens. Please feel free to let others know her status, she just hasn't been up to getting on the computer. Thanks!!

thanks Hodaya - what an awful worry for them both.

how are you doing though?  i am doing fine - i have no probs at all only a litle twinge under my incision from time to time but thats nothing.  i hope you get your surgery soon.  the best thing i have done you know. i probably get reversed later in the year - i am on the waiting list now.  xx

yeah, it was all thanks to Cher, cause she wrote on my wall on FB asking about Amanda, and i replied on hers that i still don't know anything either, and we were both saying how worried we were, so Amanda's husband saw that on her home page and sent both of us this message :o)

i did thank him and told him we're praying for her. what do you think about this leak, if they still havn't found it, won't it cause probs in the future? it is so disturbing, cause it feels like there's still something unsolved.
