So, yesterday really was tons of fun! Our son had lots of new and wonderful experiences. He played in dirt and mud (so not new...just the amounts of dirt and mud were new, as we were in the country and it has been raining), we played in the rain and he loved it!, and he started a counting-go fetch kinda game with hoola hoops. He was so much fun. But I got to play in the rain with him. It was amazing watching him learn the feeling of sprinkles on face, and then when it start to rain a little harder he ran after the rain drops trying to catch them! He also sat in a lawn chair with his plate of food on his lap and ate like the big kids! Oh my goodness, just each moment with him was beautiful. Even when he was sleepy.
Now today is a different story. I thought I'd do something nice for him b/c it's a lazy Sunday, so I sat him on our sofa (microfiber suede) with cut up Eggo waffles with butter and cinn/sugar so he could watch My Friends Tigger and Pooh during breakfast. I left the room to get juice and when I came back he's dumped his waffles (dozens of bite size pieces) and was pulvarizing them with his heels into our sofa. He's so ORINARY!!!!!!! Grrr!!!!! Oh well...really I never 'really' get upset, I just love his little thought processes. I did take away his waffles and told him it was a bad choice and that it was not okay. He giggles each time we get onto him...so ORINARY!!! Well, when he's ready to eat I'll give him a breakfast bar at his table in the dinning room.
The joys of motherhood and the ideas of a toddler.
Anyway, orginally I was just wanting to post about the fun we had. That and how grateful I am for using a one piece. Ever since I realized how rough I've started attacking life and the play I do with my son, a two piece made me super nervous. Twice now my one pieces have pulled away from the wafer a little causing a little mess. Could you just imagine the situations if I had worn a two piece?! Holy Hell!!!!! It happened yesterday while I was trying to get J calmed down for a rest (didn't happen) and my tummy felt wet, which was funny to me b/c I thought I had mostly dried from the rain play...well, of course it was my accessory. I cleaned up and simply used the adhesive paste over my hole and so far so good! I was able to walk J in the stroller for 20 minutes and then later in the evening hold him for a good 20 minutes until we left. Then this morning I'm up and about and it's still okay! My accessory was super duper full twice throughout the night and this morning, and it held! I am so impressed.
Sorry for this being long...I guess I'm Chatty Kathy this morning.
I hope you all had a wonderful 4th!!! Sorry to hear you guys are in the hospital. Hopefully it's been relaxing!
I did have a few gulps of beer and then a few guzzles of Dr. Pepper with vanilla vodka YUM! I really didn't endulge too much b/c our son was just all over the place and to be honest, I didn't sit still long enough to have an entire drink! Last weekend my sister-in-law and I shared two bottles of wine...yeah, I tipsy...it was wonderful! Which brings me to the idea of having a bag for intoxicated moments. I'm sure you all have experienced the extreme of the fumbling fingers while under the influence! I told my husband that we need a pouch with a pour spout or something...my roll and lock bit was a bit difficult being drunk.
Okay, gotta go. J's trying to pull me to a different room.
Chao!!!
