 does anyone with an ostomy need any supplies.. I have extra I have a surgery at the end of the month so most likely wont need them anymore.. I have a variety..

You could ask your WOC Nurse if they have a program...I always bring open boxes I cannot return to the supplier to them and they get them to people in need. If you have full boxes, call you supplier and see if they'll take a return since you are having a reversal...

Same here. Husband just had takedown surgery, we were told you can't "donate" the supplies. We would like to help out someone without health insurance. We have a big box of assorted supplies.

I had successful reversal on May 11th, and, I've been calling all of our local places to try to donate my unused supplies, with no luck.  Is there anyone who wants?  I have 2 piece Hollister new image system, with bags, cut to fit flanges, and numerous other misc (pastes, seals...).  It's a shame to throw away--we are moving at end of month, and I need to get rid of!!!

I use Hollister New Image two-piece. I'm currently unemployed and could use all the help I could get. These things are expensive! I use convex seals and wafers...the flat don't work for me, though.

Sorry I didn't see your post sooner and respond, but someone actually returned my call later the same day I posted --  through the American Cancer Society, they are local and came to pick up the supplies.  I've had so much going on due to the move, trying to get our house ready for sale, not on everyday checking here.  Also, I had all flat wafers--had a huge parastomal hernia which was not fun--  I'm so sorry that I've already gotten rid of them, if I come across anymore while packing I will definitely keep you in mind.  Check with your local American cancer society though, they must keep a network with groups that provide these kind of supplies to those in need.

Thanks, Emma - not a problem. I've reached my insurance out-of-pocket now and things are much cheaper, at least 'til the end of the year. ;) I know there are orgnanizations or hospitals glad to have them, too. I'm just hoping that come next year I will be able to have a reveral. I hate this bag!

Pitz, do you still need supplies? I could put a list together of what we have.

EDIT: We have "Convatec moldable wafers and bags, 2-piece system" and then various samples, skin wipes etc.

I use Hollister New Image 2-piece (convex barrier and ring). I've tried their moldable ones, but they didn't work as well for me, so I think I'll pass on them. Since I started using the Osto-Bond cement with the convex ones, I'm having much better luck and rarely a leak now. Thanks much, though!

Are any of the supplies listed above still available. I'm not working right now and I'm having a really hard time financially. I wait as long as i possibly can between changes to make my supplies last longer but my skin is paying the price.
It would be really helpful to get some of your extra supplies.
Let me know and we can make arrangements for delivery.

You can always donate them to Friends of Ostomates WorldWide at www.fowusa.org/
They pass any unopened ostomy supplies on to countries where supplies aren't readily available. They'll welcome your contribution.
