yep we just had the ultrasound today and found out we are having a baby boy in january!! now i have good thoughts for my surgery friday =)

So nice to hear some good news! Im having one of those feel sorry for myself days so to read your post and how wonderful it is knowing u will be having a beautiful baby boy soon is just lovely. January babies are pretty special, since Im a January girl lol. Good luck for your surgery although Im sure your wont need it, you will be just fine. Congratulations to you and your wife.

Thanks so much guys, it's so nice to have people behind me who have gone thru it too:) I am not too scared yet either.. Hopefully that will last all the way to the "count backwards" moment;)

that's how it was with me, my head and heart were just shut from all thoughts and feelings right till the last moment. just when they wheeled me to the OR waiting room, that's when i broke down with tears of pure fear... but i got over it.

Dillon and I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Dillon is recovering nicely. He had a bit of a set-back that has kept us in the hospital longer than expected...it is just that his bowels need to rest a little longer. For me, the most important advice that I can give you is even when they say you can eat do so very slowly, eat small amounts and chew, chew, chew and then walk, walk, walk even though it is the last thing that you want to do. Even with this set- back Dillon is already so happy that he had the operation. His hemoglobin has never been higher than 90 in the last year or so. It was 82 going into his operation, last Wed and we just found out that it is now 101!!!...This is huge for him...it shows that his body is on the road to health. Starting tomorrow yours will be as well!!! Thinking of you and congrats on the baby news. Let us know as soon as possible how things go.
